which fetch time is valid ? cron time or imap time ?

I set imap fetching time in the admin setting with 5 minute and 30 emails, and I also set cron task with following code:

*/1 * * * * nobody /path/to/php /path/to/api/cron.php

so as the result, the sytem will fetch email every 5 minutes or 1 minutes? thanks!

would it be possible to assign the ticket to the first replier if and only if it is "unassigned"

I have manage to hide most of the field in the new ticket form
except

1) how to removed the pop new user search
2) how to remove the code searching for the email "name"... 
my server is too slow, it takes around 8sec to load the name
3) auto display the new ticket form (basically subject and message)
without selecting help topic. optional so long as it does not search
for the email "name"

using 1.10.1

No email sent to client when new ticket created

When I created a new ticket, I can get the email notification to process the ticket, but client could not get the email. The email reponse also work fine for clients and agents, the problem only exitst in new email notification to client when they created new ticket.

I have checked all the setting according the the forum discussion, but still could not figure it out.

auto reponse have not disabled.

sTicket v1.10.1 (9ae093d) —  Up to date
webserver Apache
MySQL 5.5.57
PHP 5.6




Agent Panel->Tickets->Search requieres 8 or + characters to find a user by email or customized filed

Osticket V.10 RC3
when you typing an email address the search field requires more then 8 characters to mach the entry, version 1.9 two or three are enough

When you type values used in customized fields in the contact information form (Admin Panel->Manage->Forms->Contact Information) search field is unable to find using this values, basically nothing happens . I added the 'bagde' variable (7 digits only)

A fix applied on user tab works perfectly (User Phone Search #3900   https://github.com/osTicket/osTicket/pull/3900)

Has someone a fix? This is or UAT environment, we want to migrate from v. 1.9.81 to 1.10 rc3

IP Address Blocked

Hello,

I have been trying to get email piping setup on my osticket installation and have been looking through the wiki and forums. However, it looks like my IP address has been blocked by OSticket servers as I can no longer access the OSticket website from my home network but I can access it from my phone using mobile data. Can anyone help me out?

Fetching mail using IMAP

I'm trying to connect one of our emails that all incoming emails, will automatically turn into tickets, but the Ostickets is unable to reach the mail.
There's an alert-automatic mail who sent back :
"Host: imappro.zoho.com
Error: Can't connect to imappro.zoho.com,993: Connection timed out

9 consecutive errors. Maximum of 5 allowed

This could be connection issues related to the mail server. Next delayed login attempt in aprox. 10 minutes"

I'm using v1.10.1.

Is there any fix I can make to change it?


some text in front end can not be translated.

I am using 1.10.1. 

1. I  found that  there is no way in the mo file to translate "Browse by topics" in the knowlege base area(attachment).
2. anther problem is in the http://xxx.com/profile.php, the update/reset/cancle button also can not be translated in mo file(attachment).



Should I make edit to the database or somewhere else?

Change client side background and white space

Centos 6.9

1.) I would like to change the background image of the client side login.
Now in older threads, also from version 1.9 x it seemed to be in some file called client/login.css.
But I'm running 1.10.x and there is no /client directory. The only login.css is in the /scp directory which is for the admin part.

Where and how can I change the background image for the customer portal?

2.) The current landing welcome page is totally on top of the browserpage. From a graphical point of view it's a lot better to have some white space between the top of the browser view and the welcome landing page.
See the red arrow in the picture to see what I'm talking about.

State of full responsive themes on 2016/09

Hello,

As per September 2016, what's the status about full (ie. both about users and staff sides) responsive themes?

Searching quickly today, what I understand is that osTicket could be "themifiable" (whatever theme, reponsive or not) a day but w/o accurate deadline because of the difficulty to separate its current logic from the user-interface. Right?

Also, awaiting this important day*, I found two places for full responsive themes (two only):

- DMT Club at https://www.dmt-club.com/en/themes-extensions.html with 3 themes for osTicket 1.9.12/13 from EUR39 [+VAT] for 1 site & 3 month updates.

- osTicket AWESOME at https://osticketawesome.com/ with 1 theme for osTicket 1.9.12 & 1.10-RC2 at USD100 [+VAT] for ? site(s) & 2 years updates.

Do you know others? Do you have experience to share with those?

* "Important" because if osTicket if perfect for technical websites, the interface is more and more important for marketing/commercial oriented websites these days... I have two websites in this situation, where I had to update their look n' feel because my users and partners called my previous ones : "The old-school geek's sites" LOL

EDIT : Oh! and I'm using osTicket 1.9.14 (the last stable release) for my current public sites and no one (DMT & Awesome) talks about this version. What's the stability of the 1.10-RC2 ? I don't want to take any risk in my production sites (on the other ones, no problem, but not for the commercial ones).

Hi,
  I am new to OS ticket and downloaded the version 1.10 and extracted the contents to the web folder. As per the installation instruction, i followed the procedure and i get the Basic Installation page, upon furnishing all the details (eg: Name, Email ID, password, DB name etc) i click on submit and after a while it shows me error "Confirm Form Resubmission" ERR_CACHE_MISS

Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Additional Form Fields Still Visible to Agents

Hello,

I have added a number of additional fields to the Ticket Details Form.
Recently I added Support Department to the Form to Allow users to send the ticket to the department of their choosing.

I have set this field with the following Settings:

It displays correctly on the End User Screen:

And is still visible on the Agent Screen despite not having the Visible Setting Ticked, It also displays the data in an incorrect format.

Any help on what I have done wrong would be great.
I'm trying to hide this field on the Agent insert screen as it already exists further up the page.

OSticket page loading bar finishes first
before actual page loading finishes.
is this normal?

basically after na loading bar at top is gone, it takes about 3 to 5 seconds before page loads fully

im trying to create a ticket with the osticket API. With the cURL in php its working fine

With ajax i have always this error: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 401 (Unauthorized)

Having in mind, that the technic of osTicket is up to date, but the appearance not, we did a lot of additional work: reworked the css, integrated bootstrap, added additional redactor plugins, added additional page types, reworked the sanitizing and cleaning of html, removed the possibility for frontend user to edit the html code, reworked the design, integrated bootstrap support for pages and tickets, and a lot of more ...

Storage plugin broken after update to 1.10 version

Hi,

   While updating from osticket 1.9.15 to 1.10 version, the plugin for storage of attachments (Attachments on the filesystem ) has broken. Now that plugin is not working with the new version of osticket. I couldn't locate any new plugin release for this osticket version. Is there any new version of that plugin for osticket version 1.10? or any workaround mechanisms? Please help me...


MSG file attachments from Outlook

Hi.

When a user needs to send us a whole e-mail as an attachment from Outlook (MSG file format) the file is not imported.

Whe have listed the file as accepted in the "Additional File Type Filters" as well...

Hello everyone,
I have a Problem for a few weeks now and can´t fix it myself.

I´ll try to describe my problem as detailed as possible.

We have different Help Topics in our osTicket-system with different form fields assigned. For easier use when adjusting views they are all configured in the standard Ticket Detail-View.

Everything fine so far but every Checkbox is shown in every Help Topics (Agent View) Ticket Details even when its not assigned to the Help Topic (Screenshot). Other Types like Short Answers or Choices are displayed correctly the problem only occures with checkboxes!

How do I manage to only show the checkboxes in the help topics they are assigned to?

Hope I described my problem good enough.
