Here's a plugin that will allow you to replace the default redactor editor with TinyMCE

This is mainly done as an expirement and also because the redactor version currently in use is getting a bit old.

I've mainly ported the functions that were available in redactor to TinyMCE so as of yet there's no extra functionality as such, but if i've missed something or you've a good idea please just suggest it.

Functions ported
  • Auto renewal of lock if you're typing
  • Canned responses
  • Context typeahead in templates
  • Drafts (uses tinymces autosave plugin)
  • Signatures

How to remove phone number field from client registration and guest submit ticket?

Hi, I've just installed v.1.10.1 and would like to remove the phone number field from both the client sign-up page and the submit ticket as guest page.  I  can hide it using CSS but is it possible to remove it from the template?

"Print" button gives 500 error/wsod

I'm using v1.10.1 on PHP 5.6 with Apache.  My installation is new, I have only changed some CSS.  I have not changed any permissions and everything else appears to be working well

When trying to print a thread as either admin or client, the "print" button immediately returns a white screen of death.  There is no data in the "system logs" and I can't find any errors in my server logs either.  Can anyone suggest a solution?

"RISA" is the name for the base of a fully responsive frontend and backend for osTicket. At this point we have finished the work on the frontend. Now you can adjust the complete frontend design from the backend with just a few clicks. Just navigate to "Admin Panel" > "Settings" > "System" and you will see a new tab "Theme".

Do you like a header with your logo in your corporate color? Just click.
Do you like a clean theme with flat design? Just click.
Do you like a background image? Just click.
And many options more...

Having in mind, that the technic of osTicket is up to date, but the appearance not, we did a lot of additional work: reworked the css, integrated bootstrap, added additional redactor plugins, added additional page types, reworked the sanitizing and cleaning of html, removed the possibility for frontend user to edit the html code, reworked the design, integrated bootstrap support for pages and tickets, and a lot of more ...

Is it just me or is the access-link email missing from the email template manager in admin panel?  I've found where to edit it in include\i18n\en_US\templates\page\access-link.yaml but surely there should be a front-end editor for this?

Changing ticket's department not working

Hi,

When attempting to change any ticket's department, it doesn't work. For example, there is a ticket that was wrongly assigned to the 'IT Support' department and I want to change it to the 'Estates Support' department, so I edit the ticket, select 'IT Support' in the 'Ticket Details' section, and click 'Save'. However, after doing this, the ticket remains in the 'Estates Support' department and strangely the ticket's update log states "Department changed from to" i.e. changed from nothing to nothing!
There are no errors displayed in the system log and no Apache errors. Also everything else in the system works perfectly.
Also note I have tried rearranging the departments, creating a new top level department just to see if it helps etc. but no luck. Also I am the global admin.

Any idea what's going on? The following screenshots show the process described above, where I try to change the 'Lights in F8' ticket's department:

Notice (above) that the edit page suggests that it's not assigned to a department at all, despite what it says on the ticket list page.

I want to change this text that displays on the sign-in page.  I have found this string in both \include\i18n\en_US\templates\page\banner-client.yaml and /include/client/login.inc.php.

I don't understand yet how osTicket handles text strings but it seems that login.inc.php calls the variable from the language file banner-client.yaml, as I'd expect.

However, editing this string in the yaml file is having no effect whatsoever!  I have also tried overwriting it directly in login.inc.php but still there is no change to the page.  Yes I've been hard-refreshing and viewing in a different browser and other changes I make take effect, but I cannot change this string.  Please help.

osticket "System Time" not correct goes 2 hours back

The Timezone in PHP and osticket is set to Europe/Berlin but the Time that will be shown in System Settings goes 2 hours back.
The interesting thing is, that the Time (open time) from new Tickets is correct, but if i print the Ticket the printed time in the Footer is 2 hour sooner as the opend time

We're trying to add the ldap plugin and have copied over auth-ldap.phar to /include/plugins folder, however when clicked on "Add New Plugin" it doesn't show anything to install.

We're running CentOS 7

Since upgrading to v1.10, I've been unable to print tickets with or without internal notes. When selecting print on the Ticket Print Options dialog box, I immediately get a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. Any suggestions?

Hi, I have created a new site page in the "other" category.  My page has been assigned a URL and a link to it has automagically appeared on the homepage under the heading "Other resources", but navigating to the page gives the error "No input file specified.".

Any ideas?

Limit Ticket activity and Topics View per department

Hi All,

Is there a way to limit the agent view of Ticket graph and Help Topic Statistics per department.

for example, an agent from accounting will only see statistics related to their department.

Since this mod was released we've been using it as a core modification but in order to make the changes maybe stay in future releases i decided to try and port it to a plugin and here's a start of it.


You can merge and split tickets, both single and mass.
Bring the recipients from the child tickets.

I've not ported the thread merging or redirection yet.

Note: This plugin adds a table %prefix%_ticket_relation and it also alters the conditions thread event table, this in order to add the events to tickets.
When uninstalling the changes will be removed, so any relations between tickets will be removed but tickets will remain in their current state.
Any events that were merged/split will lose their text even after reinstalling the plugin.

I can't see the closed tickets assigned to me

Hi all, I am an agent, and once I close a ticket assigned to me, I do not see it in the closed tickets section. only the administrator (my boss) sees them. the other agents are the same, in "closed tickets" is always empty, can not see their tickets closed.
when I look for the ticket in "User" (list of clients), I see the ticket but I can not enter or edit it. What I can do?
I leave a screenshot.

URGENT SMTP GMAIL ERROR NEED HELP !!

i already have an gmail setup on osticket v.1.10.1 an set that email as a default , but when i want change a setting little bit for that email and i clicksave changes , i get this error

it used to be work on my laptop, BUT when i put in to windows server 2008.... that error comes out
