Need to sign in every time I update a ticket

$

I'm using version 1.10 and every time we go into a ticket and update it, it brings up back into the log in screen.

The ticket does get updated but it is really frustrating to get anything done.

Any ideas of what I can do to fix this?

Thanks,
Gabe

Add new features on OSTicket

Hi everyone !

For my internship i have to upgrade the actual version of OSTicket for my company (v1.7) to the lastest version and they want to add some new features but i don't find anything up-do-date about that.

The new features are:

- add a new tab "Pending Client", "Pending Provider", "Pending Solution"  and "Solved" (and be able to add whatever we want) for the tickets.

image

- have a cost management per employee according to the time spent on the tickets.

- open a ticket automatically when we recieve a mail to the support address and have a follow-up of the mails sent and received in the body of the ticket automatically.

Thank you for helping !

Blank Emails

I have just setup email piping and emails from some clients are coming in correctly and others are coming in with a blank issue details field. If I look at the email that landed on the server, it does have a message body. This is only happening on emails from certain senders.

Has anyone run into this before?

Time of ticket creation wrong - now with images and in the right forum ...

Hello,

I have been struggling with this for the last 2 days.

The problem is whenever I create a ticket via the web form creation page of osticket, the time of the ticket creation displayed in the tickets list page of osticket is one hour less than the real creation time.
For example one ticket created at 15:01 is displayed in osticket as having been created at 14:01.
I am using osticket V. 1.10 (901e5ea)
Apache/osticket and mysql are running on the same machine (Centos7).

I have confirmed in the osticket database table that the ticket is created with the correct hour. but it is displayed with one hour less in osticket.

I have configured osticket timezone correctly according to my location (Europe/Lisbon)

image

I have set mysql timezones also according to my location on my.cnf file and populated mysql timezone tables from my centos7 /usr/share/zoneinfo directory

image

the centos7 OS timezone is also configured to Europe/Lisbon

image

the agent profile in osticket is also configured to Europe/Lisbon

image

Apache / PHP also configured in httpd.conf and php.ini to the correct location:
- in httpd.conf added line
          SetEnv TZ Europe/Lisbon
- in php.ini
          date.timezone=Europe/Lisbon

A PHP test file opened in a web browser with the command "echo date_default_timezone_get();"  gives this:

image

Something strange is in the osticket configuration (first image) because mysql timezone altough configured as Europe/Lisbon is being interpreted as Europe/Paris by osticket.
Another question is Daylight Saving Times. Maybe the question also relates to this, but now I dont see any option to deal with this in OSTicket altough in previous osticket versions we had an option to activate/deactivate DST.

And I think this misconfiguration is also no allowing me to get a lock on a ticket. With a Collision Avoidance Duration of 5 minutes I can never answer a ticket because it gives the error "This action requires a lock. Please try again".
With a Collision Avoidance Duration bigger than 60 minutes then I can answer ticket.

Do not know what else can I try/change.
Maybe I am missing something obvious but I am out of ideas.

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you very much

Pedro

Admin-Profil:

System-Standard:
support@....
Support-Department: System-Standard (
support@...)
Maintenance-Department: System-Standard (support@...)
Support-Department: System-Standard (support@...)

Administrator ist also an agent.

So, where is the loop? Thats so frustrating!!!!

About html in signature email

I want a nice signature for my tickets. But everybody know that signature is a plain text without format. Ok.

Someone tried to paste the html code directly to database? It could work?

Attachments issue in 1.9.15

$

Hello,

I am having an issue with attachments to tickets in 1.9.15. This may have happened before in earlier versions but I don't know.

I can upload the files OK but when I come to download them all binary files are corrupted. Every file appears to be 2 bytes bigger than the uploaded version. This is OK for text files but not for binary files. If I do an octal dump of the uploaded file and the downloaded one, the first couple of lines of the original file are:

0000000 045520 002003 000024 004000 000000 056072 046133 143136
0000020 006062 000047 000000 000047 000000 000010 000000 064555
.............

and those of the downloaded file are:

0000000 020040 045520 002003 000024 004000 000000 056072 046133
0000020 143136 006062 000047 000000 000047 000000 000010 000000

i.e. the two octal bytes 020 and 040 are being pre-pended to the file. The content of the downloaded file is identical to the uploaded one after that. Has this been noted before and how can I fix this?

Regards,

Mike

Hello OSTicket,

We are currently having some issues with our help desk deployment.

We are using v1.10, MySQL Version 10.1.29 and PHP version 7.0.25-1.

When we go to add a new organisation it displays the error "Error adding organisation - try again"

This appears to have happened out of no where, I can add users but not organisations, any help would be great.

Thank you

Printing Tickets - Need to Show IP

When printing tickets it no longer shows the IP on the printed form. We use IP to track user locations so need that on the printed tickets.

I'm totally new to this platform but I think we just need to edit a template?

Error en piping de emails: execvp /pipe.php Permission denied.

Dear osTicket team,

I'm having some difficulties setting up email piping:

The mail.log is showing:

Mar  1 17:36:42 atc postfix/local[20535]: 19F0863023: to=<abc-def@midomain.com>, relay=local, delay=530, delays=530/0.01/0/0.01, dsn=4.3.0, status=deferred (temporary failure. Command output: local: fatal: execvp /var/www/html/osticket/api/pipe.php: Permission denied )

I'm using postfix and my "aliases" file has "abc-def" email alias:

abc-def: "|/var/www/html/osticket/api/pipe.php"

The file "pipe.php" has these permissions:

-rwxr--r-- 1 www-data www-data 917 Sep 14 16:23 /var/www/html/osticket/api/pipe.php

My system:

Empty Client ticket list

$

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to show a logged in client an empty ticket list if they do not have any tickets.

So far I've got the /ticket.php page to show access denied as there are no tickets attached to the client. I've done this by removing the

else {
    $nav->setActiveNav('new');
    $inc='open.inc.php';
}

on tickets.php around line 136 and replacing it with

else
        $inc='view.inc.php';

I've tried removing the die function from view.inc.php but end up with a null error which does make sense.

Wondering if anyone else has this implimented.

Thanks,

Tom

server replacement

I had a server loose a motherboard.  Couldnt get a new board, ended up buying an entire used server of the same model etc.  I moved the raid controller and drives over from the old server to the new.  The only thing I saw was of course the mac address on the replacement hardware is different than the old.  Now my osticket installation will not authenticate using google.  When you click google authentication the screen flashes and I get the authentication required error.  The only thing I can figure is google is denying the connection for the auth, but cant figure that end out.  No errors in the server logs.  All of the other pages running on the server are loading fine.  Including lots of pages using mysql and php, none of these pages are tied into google.  If anyone has any suggestions of where to go I would appreciate a nudge in the right direction.  I did try to dump the mysql database and restore it from a good backup.

thanks

Does anyone have User Manual for how to use and work with Forms and Lists in osTicket 1.10.1 ?

osTicket .PDF header/footer time one hour back (DST ?)

Hi everyone,

I'm having a small issue with the pdf header / footer time which is one hour back than the correct time.
Ticket time, created, claimed ecc. is correct, this seems to apply to the pdf export only. (Maybe not respecting DST Daylight saving time?)

Does anyone know where I can further troubleshoot this?

For the screenshots below the correct time should be around 10:00 CET – Central European Time

PDF Header / Footer:

osTicket info:

CentOS server settings (updated picture -> correct time ~11:30 CET):
