Printing Tickets - Need to Show IP

When printing tickets it no longer shows the IP on the printed form. We use IP to track user locations so need that on the printed tickets.

I'm totally new to this platform but I think we just need to edit a template?

Print to PDF Suddenly Broken

Hello all,

After a sever upgrade/transfer our print to PDF feature suddenly broke. See attached image, the PDFs instead of text have boxes. To try to fix the problem, I did a fresh install of 1.10.1, no dice. 

Anyone ever see this before? Any ideas on how to fix?

Unable to login using client user with AD

I have the HTTP Passthru Authentication and LDAP Authentication plugins installed, I have configured a staff member with a domain account and start session without problems, but the same thing does not happen with clients. At the moment of creating the client, I enable it to authenticate through the active directory but it fails, however with staff members it works! What could be happening?

Let me preface this by saying i am aware of the information which i will attach below, regarding microsoft's discontinued support of older security protocols.. I have used the work around suggestion of using a non office 365 server to forward to and have osticket poll from that, obviously this is not the ideal circumstance, and means that we can not reply to emails from customers from our main mail email address.


My question(s) is/are:

Is support for these alternative protocols going to be added to osticket in the future?

If plans to add these features are expected, how quickly is the update planned to be released?

I'm assuming as the microsoft roll out goes on many users will be coming to the boards with issues as their ticket systems will soon cease to function completely.

Users cannot setup any of the email features using an MS Office 365 account, because the system doesn't support TLS/ STARTTLS encryption protocol. The TLS 1.2 protocol has become mandatory (announced by Microsoft in December 2017 with the implementation date on March 1, 2018) as MS is phasing out support for previous protocols TLS1.0, TLS 1.1.

LDAP Authentication for users who submit tickets online

Is it possible to have lookup working in web form?

I have installed and correctly configured LDAP Authentication and Lookup plugin. Everything works well, Agents are AD users and they use AD login credentials. Lookup works perfectly, I don't need to fill the complete form, but just to enter some letters in the Username input box and then all other data is inserted itself.

But lookup in the web form doesn't work.

Is it possible to get that working or not?

"Advanced ticket search" to be added to Tasks

Hi,

I have a suggestion that the same function that is used for "Advanced ticket search" when you are browsing Tickets to be added to the Task list as well. As it currently stand we are creating a lot of tasks on different departments and to be able to search then in a convenient way would be golden.

White blank popped up on sreen

Hi Guys,

I was new new OSticket, just installed v 1.10 in my Ubuntu 16.04 using this link

But, I encountered white blank popped up on screen once I add New Ticket and Set password to user account. Please  see attached screenshot.

assign expiration/locked date to customer accounts

Is it possible that you can have the options to assign expiration/locked date on the customers accounts ?

In software business, we will sometimes deactivate the customer's account when their maintenance is expired. Now we have to go through all the customers account every once for a while by human beings. Also, if it can inform the customers as well as the agent too about the expiration, that will be very helpful for maintaining accounts.

Button links only working on the image and not the actual button

Recently just updated to osTicket 1.10.1.

For the transfer and edit buttons on the view ticket page. The buttons only work if you are click the image, and the rest of the button is non functional.

How does the system knows that one mail has to open a new ticket or is from an allready existing one

Hi all,

I would like to know how does the OSticket system can know if it's needed to open a new ticket for a e-mail or it has to append the replies etc to an already existing ticket.
We're triying to connect our OSticket system with another ticket-system (not based in OSticket) and it would be great to know what does the OSticket system is looking at at the received messages to decide if open a new ticker or not.

Help on this issue would be much apreciated.

New Ticket Alert stopped working

Hello, I am having some problems with getting new ticket alerts sent to my email. Details below:

-Running OSTicket 1.10.1 on GoDaddy hosted Linux platform
-Running PHP 7.0.x
-Using the php mailer (GoDaddy doesn't allow sending to external SMTP)
-All other emails work fine, including autorespond to the user when they open a new ticket
-diagnostic test email in the OST email settings works with the address that is supposed to be getting the alert
-I have checked all settings including email autoresponders, alerts, etc against the OST KB + previous forum posts and they appear to be correct
-My mailbox is listed as an admin in OST and the sending to admins box is ticked, and I have no filters or auto-assignment rules in place
-I tried setting my account to a different email address on a different domain + mail service - I get the same problem (no email sent to me except when I send the diagnostic test message)

Emails worked fine right up until Feb 14, nothing has changed since then except for some reason only the new ticket alert stopped working (yet the user who submits the ticket gets a reply)

attachment not being attached intermittently

Hi guys, 
I got some users complain that they attached the attachment and it is not attached when they post. But it just happens to them intermittently . I dont know how to tract and check . Can someone shine the light on it . The osticket version is v1.10.1.

User login from URL

Hi! I´m new to OSTicket, so my apologies if this issue has been addressed before. I searched it in the forum for a while but couldn´t find specific info.

We run version 1.9.8.1.  My intention is to login directly from the URL, sending the username and password in the URL itself.

I know it´s not safe and that the password will be sent in readable form, but in the environment we plan to implement this funcion, that´s acceptable.

Our usernames are emails, so there´s a "@" always included.

I have tried the "classics":


2) http://www.mysite.com/login.php?username=myname@mydomain.com&passwd=mypassword

3) http://www.mysite.com/login.php?luser=myname@mydomain.com&lpasswd=mypassword

And none of them work... I never leave the login.php page. No error message at all.

I hope someone could guide me in this process.

Multiple mailboxes in osTicket

Hello!

I have operational osTicket installation with IMAP polling configured and working on email.one@ourcompany.com .

Now I would like to add one more mailbox named email.two@ourcompany.com to Admin Panel --> Emails --> Emails --> [Add New Email] with exactly the same settings as email.one@ourcompany.com mailbox has.

But I cannot get this second email correctly set up and worked, I always get this error:

I checked this mailbox and everything seems fine. I can add it to my Microsoft Outlook client, everything works fine.

Why I can't add this second mailbox to osTicket?



Canned response - Always first

Hi.

Canned responses is always put at the beginning of the text field.

Before I upgraded to 1.10.x I could place the cursor in beteen any part of the text I had already written and insert a canned response. But now, I can't.

Can you fix this?

Task Priority

It would be great if the same system used for Ticket Priority could be added to Tasks.  I have added a custom field and modified tasks.inc.php.  But it's still not as nice as the priority system for Tickets.  

Additionally, it would be great if the Priority could be changed at any time by editing the task.

Table 'osticket.ost_ticket__cdata' doesn't exist. SQL errors on fresh install.

I have a fresh install of osTicket: v1.10-80-gc4669d7 (c4669d7) — Up to date Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu) 5.7.21 7.0.25-0ubuntu0.16.04.1

PHP Version
As soon as I click on the tickets panel in the agent section, I get three emails (the email errors are also visible in the logs-section).
One of them states:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'FROM ost_form_entry entry

The next two errors are also SQL errors. I skip them for now since I think this is a related issue.
The first part is a CREATE TABLE statement, but the second part is of a SELECT statement.

I also can't add tickets manually or do anything in the tickets section.

Any idea why my SQL statements are generated wrong?

Can someone please post the SQL to create the table 'ost_ticket__cdata' manually?

OSTicket 1.10 stopped sending emails

Our OSTicket installation has stopped sending emails recently and I am at a loss as to why.  We didn't change any of the settings.  We have verified the credentials being used are good, and that the email settings are valid.  Running on RHEL 7.4.  I have updated PHP, but php --version says PHP 5.6 is running while OSTicket says it is using 5.4.  Not sure what is going on there.  The system logs say: 
Unable to email via php mail function:nesretep@chem.byu.edu mail() returned failure.  

In /var/log/maillog, the error that appears is: 
Feb 27 11:44:36 osticket postfix/sendmail[25900]: fatal: open /etc/postfix/main.cf: Permission denied".  

I checked the permissions on that file and apache has read permissions on that file.  I tried giving apache full permissions but it had no effect so I changed them back.
