Attachments not being uploaded for tickets from staff control panel.

Osticket v1.10 (901e5ea)

1) We receive a ticket
2) We want to attach a file to the ticket when we reply
3) Attachment is appearantly uploaded, but is not actually added to the ticket.
4) When entering the ticket, the text-reply is posted, but no attachment.

SOMETIMES, the attachment does work and is attached, sometimes not. Even though we do the same steps every time. Same attachment (size&filetype&filename).

We try to reproduce, and sometimes we can, and sometimes we can not. We tried with Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox, and we have the same issue with all browsers. Please advice.

Time displaying 3 hours more from the current time on tickets ( New & Old tickets)

Hi Team,

I have installed Osticket v1.10 freshly on my Ubuntu 14.04 server, now the tickets are fetching very slow, ( need to refresh every time or i have to logout and login again)

And in Osticket v1.10 time also displaying 3 hr more than the current time. 

My time zone is IST  . and in osticket also i have set it to Asia/Kolkata as its IST timezone.

Osticket version - v 1.10
Web server - Apache 2.4.7 (Ubuntu)
Mysql version - 5.7.19
PHP version - 5.5.9-1ubuntu4.22
OS - Ubuntu 14.04 server os


Please help me to fix this issue.

SMTP : Authentication failure

I have the Osticket
installed in windows (WAMP) and in debian .... and in neither of the two
systems do the smtp with authentication work ....

Authentication failure [SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 535, response: Authentication failed)]
I have no idea it can be.
My Osticket version is 1.9.15 and my email server is MDaemon 10.0. I would appreciate your help. regards

Users can't reset password

Users can't use the forgot password function.  It results the error: 

Unable to verify username

We are running OSTicket 1.10-0117 with Maria DB 10 on a Synology NAS DSM 6.1.3-15152 Update 2

OSTicket v1.10 Merge / Duplicate Ticket mods attached

I am attaching a Merge modification for OSTicket  v1.10 (901e5ea). 

- The replacement PHP files.
- The SQL needed (if you changed your ost prefix from ost_ to something else then you will need to modify the sql file)

The Merge Ticket functionality basically sets up a master/child ticket relationship.  
- You can merge two tickets by opening the child ticket, entering the maser ticket number and clicking MERGE.
- You can merge multiple children into a master by simply selecting multiple tickets, entering the master ticket number and clicking MERGE.
- You can not merge a "master ticket" into another "master ticket" or a "child ticket" into multiple "master tickets".   It is just a "master" / "children" relationship.
- Viewing either the master or child tickets includes a "Relations" tab where you can see all the related tickets.
- You can delete the links between master and child tickets from the master ticket.

Couple of notes..

- This is NOT the final version.   I will post the rest of the code when it becomes available.
- If you select multiple child tickets and click MERGE it will fail if one of the children are already assigned to a master ticket.  The dev is working to resolve this by putting up a warning but merging the remaining tickets.
- The developer is also working to add a "duplicate ticket" button for the ticket view.   This will allow us to take an existing ticket and split it into 2 then delegate out the appropriate workload between staff members or departments.

Issues creating agents

Hello,
I am trying to add an agent. When I click the set password button I get a white space at the top of the page and am unable to type in it. Am I doing something wrong?
I am running v1.10 on a Debian 9.1 machine with all PHP packages installed that I am aware of are needed for osticket.

Last Character of an email not being linked

Hi

One canned message has an email such like address@domain.click (yes, the domain is a .click one) and after I submit the message, the link doesn't show the last character, the k. It only creates the link to address@domain.clic exactly like this: address@domain.click

Is this a bug in the system?

(empty) messages

Hi

At least using the pipe system, messages are coming with the text (empty) and nothing else. When I check the physical mailboxes, the messages have obviously a proper message but osTicket only shows the (empty) word.

The sender is using an @icloud.com email address.

Any idea what this can be?

"Mark as answered" missing

Hi guys,

Small but very irritating issue, maybe someone has a quick fix?
It seems on 80% of tickets the options to "mark as answered" is not there, but on the remaining 20% it is. I cannot see any reasons for this.

Adding Collaborator during the creation of ticket

How to add a collaborator manually during the creation of of new ticket for clients??
We require that feature in our organization when a client want to inform another collaborator of other organization..

[plugin] Autocloser - closes old tickets

Automatically closes tickets that haven't been updated in a while.


Feel free to propose features in the issue queue.

Features:
- Define a maximum ticket age with no responses.
- Type a friendly message telling your users why their ticket is being auto closed (with full access to ticket variables).
- Let's you choose the start and end states. For instance, if you only want to autoclose tickets in the state Pending, you can.
- Batch the closure of old tickets on a schedule via cron, closes as many or as few at a time as you want.
- Apply filters to only autoclose expired tickets, or tickets that have been answered.
- Can even work with autocron!

Requires zero mods to core.

Built for 1.10.

Small tool to help with ticket notifications, enables easy collaboration and notification of others without having to assign tickets to them.

How it works:
Parses incoming messages for @mentions, adds users/agents emails or names as collaborators on a ticket. Can also notice #mentions and send a notification to that person that they've been mentioned. Supplements the normal collaborators system.

Pull requests and feature requests always welcome, if you've a problem, please post to the issue queue ASAP so I can help you.

Caveats:
Only tested with no user login enabled.
Requires zero modifications to core.
Built for 1.10.

This has been in production for a while, our staff use it all the time.


FYI: agents added as collaborators will have a user account created for them so they can collaborate.

Utility plugin.

Originally developed to solve a forwarding problem, whereby tickets forwarded to the ticketing system were created "by the forwarder", not the original sender, this provides the option to "rewrite the sender", hence the name. Allows for nested forwards.

It has recently been expanded to rewrite almost anything in an email before it becomes a ticket. Almost. It doesn't touch attachments (yet). :-)


Features:
- Rewrite forwarded mail from allowed sending domains, sets the sender as the original email creator, not the person forwarding.
- Drupal contact form parser, detects a Drupal contact form email and rewrites the resulting ticket as if it was sent by the person filling out the form. Easy ticket integration with your Drupal CMS via email. (If other systems have obvious formats, let me know, we can add them)
- Add a message to the ticket body indicating it was edited. (No thread at this point, as the ticket hasn't been created yet)
- Arbitrary text find and replace, also regex find and replace (dangerous, but fun!)
- Find and replace for email addresses.


Caveats:
- English language only, sorry everyone else, pulls welcome! I can't write regex for languages I don't know.
- 1.10+ only, I could modify it for 1.9 if necessary. Open an issue.
- Only rewrites email, API can rewrite themselves, the web form should not need it.
- Only works with registration disabled: pulls welcome!
- Doesn't work with mail forwarded via Outlook. For some reason Outlook doesn't include the email address of the original sender. Frustrating.

I highly recommend the setting of email domain(s) to filter the allowed sender's of forwards, this ensures only your agents can forward tickets and have them rewritten. Bit of a security issue allowing just anyone to forward tickets, so if you don't set one, it is disabled.

Hi!

I´am working trying to send a notification when user/agent did update a ticket using the "model.updated" signal. But this seems to fire the signal before the ticket edition finish when i do press the "publish" button.

How can i fix this behavior?

Create New Task - Showing "Access Denied Error"

Creating a new Task even as the Admin is showing my the error "Access denied. Contact admin if you believe this is in error". Though the task will be created and sent to the recipient email, but it will not show successful, and will not be listed on the Open Tasks.

Don't know what might likely be the cause, kindly help.

Problem with some templates

Good morning,

I was checking the mail templates and in several I found the following error:


Some variables are not valid in this context. Please review the errors and correct their use for this template. % {Message}

I would like to know how to solve it. Probe by placing% {response} instead of% {message} but not working. I appreciate your help thanks

I was asked by our staff to insert a placeholder in the email field of the open ticket form which is fix, so that staff doesn't need to type this manually.

We don't force staff to register...

Is this possible?
